Stamp - Fibromyalgia Sucks

Because it DOES!

I'd heard of fibromyalgia before but didn't really have any idea what it was until I started having really bad back pain that nothing seemed to help. Then it went to my knees, and I started feeling really exhausted for no apparent reason. That's when my best friend's mom (who is awesome) suggested that I might have fibromyalgia and I looked it up. I went to the doctor not too long later and yup. Within an hour he told me that's what I had. Since then it's gotten worse and I now have pain in my hips and there are times when it hurts just to be touched in certain places. It's very rare for me not to be in any pain at all. 99.9% of the time something hurts to some degree.

There's no cure for fibromyalgia. Doctors don't even know what exactly causes it, and some of them don't believe it even exists. People with fibro have to manage their time along with their pain. Do I do some cleaning after work, or do I do something fun? I can't do both, I don't have the energy.

So yeah. It SUCKS.
