Description

Just as I was wondering what kind of shoot I could do to show off Frank's new dress IT SNOWS, which if you're familiar with me whining about our winters, you know doesn't really happen. So yeah, Frank got tossed out in the snow in her pretty new dress. X3

Frank is an Amber from Soom.

Well, the first thing I think you did well here is the color coordination. The colors of her dress are masterfully matched, and play off one another perfectly. In addition, you picked an excellent time of day to photograph snow, since the shadows all appear bluish, thereby tying in with her dress, but the sunlight on it makes it nearly true white, which allows the doll to stand out against it, as though an uninteresting white background.
Secondly, I like how you mixed up the composition by placing the doll high in the photograph. Coupled with the folds of the dress, it draws the viewers' eye upwards, and focuses it on the doll. To add to the viewers interest, the doll is lying flat, which causes viewers to have to pause to take it in. It's a marvelous idea for keeping the focus where you want it! I can't really think of what you should have done differently. This is VERY well done! You have quite the photographer's eye!
