Doll FAQ
1. What kind of dolls are those?
They're balljoint dolls or bjds for the many of us who are too lazy to type all that out all the time. They originated in Japan but all of mine are from Korea.

2. Did you make them?
Nope! I do not have that kind of skill.

3. Are those girls?
Most of them aren't. Generally unless you see boobs (unless it's a tiny) assume it's a boy. Yeah... I know that's sad... but it's the way things are.

4. Where did you get them?

5. How much do they cost?
Bob was he cheapest at about $250 before shipping, and in general I'd say between $500 and $600 so far depending on faceups. Varekai (CP Woosoo I no longer own) was the most expensive and once he has a body will be worth about $1,200. Yes they're expensive, but they're very worth it.

6. Why are they so expensive?
Because they are. Honestly, does it matter why they're so expensive? If you don't want to pay for one don't buy one, or make one yourself. People do it. If you really want one and you have a source of income you'll be willing to sacrifice your wants (going to movies, going out to eat, buying new earrings, etc.) in order to get it. If you're not willing to sacrifice then you don't really want it bad enough, simple as that. ... But they're that expensive because these aren't dolls just sitting around on a shelf waiting to be bought. Generally speaking when you order the doll it's custom made and painted just for you. Kinda awesome, huh?

7. Did you do paint them yourself?
Nope. Yuki_no_ningyou on LJ painted Donovan and Leo. ~teruhisa painted Yan, Tycho, Kitten and Varekai. LadySaiyuki on Den of Angels painted Kà, Jack and Bob . *Nezumi-chuu gave Kishi his newer faceup. Anyone else is default... or I just forgot to list them.

8. Where do you buy your clothes for them?
Usually on the marketplace on Den of Angels or on ebay. I very rarely buy straight from actual companies. ~o01101011 and *Angie-Chan070707 also make me a lot of my doll clothes.

9. What kind of eyes does Varekai and Jack have?
Volks gold metallics in 18mm.

10. Do you have to put them together yourself?
Nope. I believe Volks sells unfinished kits you put together yourself and I'm sure other companies do too but all of mine have come pre-assembled.

11. Were the fangs part of the face ups or the molds?
The molds. Donovan is an Elf Yder vampire and Varekai is a Woosoo vampire. Also a random note: both were modded to have opened eyes. Which leads us to...

12. You can open their eyes?
Yes! All it takes is a dremmel (or exacto knife) and a lot of patience. I have none of these and thus have others do it for me.



Character FAQ

Key - CP El
1. Will Key ever be a vampire?
Maybe, maybe not. I honestly haven't decided.

Donovan - CP Elf Yder vampire

Leo - CP Elf Yder/Fantasy Doll hybrid
1. What exactly is Leo and why?
Leo is an ex-vampire zombie. He was turned into a vampire at the same time as Donovan but unlike Donovan Leo always hated it. He searched for a cure for hundreds of years and when he finally found one he took it without question. The cure did actually work and he was human for three days before his body started to decay out from under him. Donovan did the only thing he could thing to do and tried to turn Leo into a vampire again, but because of the "cure" in his blood Leo was simply turned into the walking dead.

2. How was Leo a virgin when he's over 400 years old?
When he was human he was too busy studying to think about girls, and when he was a vampire he didn't think it was right to have any sort of physical relationship with the creatures he was using as food. Now that he's a zombie he has no body heat and he doesn't think anyone would really be interested in touching him. In December '06 Leo finally lost his virginity to Yan.

Yan - CP NaNuRi '06
1. Why does Yan have two boyfriends?
When Rye went to Japan he gave Yan permission to fool around with other guys while he was gone. (Which is when he had sex with Kishi and Kitten.) During this time he had become good friends with Jordi and their flirting turned into more than that. When Yan went to visit him he admitted he was in love with him. Both Rye and Jordi know about each other, so no, Yan isn't cheating on anyone. He is currently engaged to Jordi and has become a vampire in order to be with Rye forever.

2. Will you be modding Yan?
Nope. I think Nanuri's grin would be too goofy looking with fangs, and while I briefly thought about having dark circles added under his eyes I realized he'd just cover those up with makeup anyway.

Kitten - CH AI Sram
1. What does Kitten's tattoo say?
It says "koneko" which means "kitten" in Japanese. He also has a pawprint on the back of his neck and a winged heart on his butt.

2. Who is Kitten's Oniichan?
That would be Kishi.

3. Does Kitten have a real name?
Franklin Sugano.

Kishi - CP Dreaming Moon
1. Who owns Kishi exactly?
I do. ~o01101011 owned him initially and during RPs she still controls his character, but in doll form he belongs to me.

Varekai - CP Woosoo
1. Why was Varekai there?
Yeah, I never explained this, sorry. V works for a group of "elder" vampires who he refers to as "upper management" who basically send him to kill vampires that are deemed unfit to continue existing. This mostly means vampires with impure blood or half breeds, because if they created more vampies or had children they would be creating new breeds of vampires. Because he ingested his brother's "cured" blood Donovan now has impure blood and because only her father is a vampire Inari is a half breed. Varekai was sent to kill them both but didn't know at the time that Inari was a child. When he found this out he realized he couldn't kill her and a deal was worked out where he would remain with Donovan and watch him to make sure he didn't create anymore vampires. Varekai has said to Eilo (though not yet to Donovan) that if it ever came to Key being made immortal to be with Donovan, he (Varekai) would do it.

2. Why do Varekai and Rye hate each other?
Because they're both asses basically. Rye doesn't like Varekai because he's a hunter and Varekai doesn't like Rye because he didn't think Rye should have turned Yan into a vampire when Rye can't even take care of himself. (Rye doesn't hunt and therefore Varekai had to teach Yan how.)

3. Why did you sell Varekai?
I love Varekai, and I love Woosoo, but the two just weren't meshing. I also was never happy with Varekai's eye mods so I decided to sell him. I may bring him back at some point, possibly in the form of a CP Shine.

Tycho - MNF Shiwoo
1. Why did you sell Tycho?
I bought Tycho because I wanted a MNF Shiwoo, and as much as I loved him (I had him for over a year), once I got Kà I never played with him anymore. He now belongs to ~Normalystrang37.

Mir - BF Jerome
1. What's the deal with Mir's age?
Oh it's complicated. Mir is older than Tycho but Tycho is generally seen as the older brother. When they were younger their mother abused Mir and later their older sister did so as well. Mir coped by basically no longer aging mentally/emotionally. Now that he is out of that environment he has grown up a lot but he's still nowhere near where a "normal" 15 year old would be.

2. Why did you sell Mir?
Quite simply his mold wasn't working for me. I had a love/hate relationship with the Jerome mold for a long time. I love the mold, I think it's adorable but it wasn't conveying what I wanted Mir to convey. So after over a year of fussing with him I decided to sell the Jerome and buy a Kid Delf Bory. Unfortunately after a while I just didn't really have the desire for the character anymore, and after selling Tycho I decided not to get Mir back after all.

Inari - BC Elf Pepe
1. If she's Donovan's biological daughter, why does Inari look more like Key?
Just a weird coincidence... seriously.

2. Why did you sell Inari?
I never played with her. I hadn't taken pictures of her in three months, she sat around naked for two weeks, there was just no reason to keep her.

Beezle - Pipos Baha
1. How did Beezle get there?
Never explained this one either, sorry. I will eventually. Beezle was "Experiment 667" in a lab doing animal testing. She was named Beezle by a nice old janitor who before quitting freed as many of the animals as she could manage, Beezle included. Due to the nature of the testing done on Beezle she's larger than an average cat, can speak and is a little on the crazy side. Think Brain from Pinky and the Brain, mixed with Batty from Ferngully and a bit of Zim from Invader Zim thrown in there. Beezle wants to rule the world.

2. Why did you sell Beezle?
Quite simply I never played with her. Her poseability was too limiting and I just didn't enjoy her as much as I thought I would.

Kà - MNF Elf Shiwoo girl
1. Isn't MNF Shiwoo a boy?
Yep, but Kà is a girl. I just had her given a girly faceup and put her on a MNF girl body, simple as that.

2. How do you do the little à in her name?
Hold down the "Alt" button and type 0224 on your number pad. Make sure your number lock is on. If you're on a laptop I know mine has a FN key and has a small number pad on some of the letter keys. I hold down "FN" and "Alt" and type MKKU.

Bella - Cherishdoll Chubby girl
1. Isn't Chubby a boy mold?
Yup. But Bella is a girl.

2. Why did you sell Bella?
I never played with her and her poseability sucked. I wanted to sell her sooner but didn't because Kris owned her twin. After talking to Kris about it she didn't care so I sold Bella and then she put Izzy up for sale. Bella now belongs to Artue, a girl I met a few years back on Gaia. I couldn't be happier with how this ended up.

Bob - Fairyland Puki Pukisha
1. Why does Bob have a boy's name if she's a girl?
It started out as a joke and it stuck.

2. Where do I get the Pukisha face
The Pukisha face is an optional face and is in the optional parts section. Most Pukis have human faces but I prefer the Pukisha face. Originally I bought a Sugar but I sold both the faces so it doesn't really matter which doll Bob originally was.

Jacoby - Dollshe Bernard
1. Why did you sell Jacoby?
I sold him to buy my "dream doll", a Volks F-17. Originally I planned on replacing Jacoby later but I've since decided not to.

Zig - Fairyland Puki Pukisha Basilah Amir
1. Was Zig's face modded?
(Note: I don't have her yet so I actually haven't gotten this question. I know I will however.)
No. The scar on her eye is part of what makes Zig a limited doll. Her scar and fangs are currently specific to the Basilah Amir limiteds.

Lisa - Elfdoll Sooah/Bobobie hybrid
1. Why did you sell Lisa?
Lisa was an impulse buy, I never denied this. I don't regret it either, she was a gorgeous doll and I loved having her around. I didn't love her however. So when Fairyland released their new limited Pukishas it was off she went.

Daniel - Volks F-17/Latidoll hybrid

Marisol - CP Elf Yder/AoD hybrid girl
1. Is Marisol related to Donovan and Leo?
(Another question before the doll arrives since I know I'll get it.)
No she's not. She's an Elf Yder and so are they, but she's not related to them in any way.

Group/General
1. Who is related to who?
Donovan and Leo are twins and Key has a twin sister named Mika who doesn't exist in doll form. Mir and Tycho are half brothers (same mom). Inari is Donovan's daughter. Varekai is Jack's dad. Yan is Bella's adopted "mother". Daniel is Lisa's brother. (I decided to leave in dolls that were no longer here.)

2. If Donovan and Leo are twins why don't they have the same last name?
Niccals is the last name Donovan chose, it isn't his birth name. Leo simply never chose a new last name and doesn't care to use his birth name.



Misc FAQ
1. What kind of camera do you use?
Currently I'm using a Sony Cybershot DSC-T100, and before that I was using a Canon Powershot S50.

2. What other things do you use for photos?
Indoors I use my light tent or a tri fold display board (like for science fairs) with fabric draped over it and metal clamp lamps (cheap at Walmart!) for lighting. I also use Adobe Photoshop CS to edit my pictures.

3. What do you use to make your photostories?
Adobe Photoshop CS. I briefly used a program called Comic Life but ended up decidign not to use it.

4. Can I draw you fanart?
I never thought I'd have to include this but I actually get this question every now and then. O_O Of course you can! I adore art of the boys because I can't draw worth a crap!

5. Where do you RP?
We used to RP at [link] but now it's all done over AIM.

6. Can I join?
Probably not. We don't let many people join, and the ones we do let join are personal friends of ours. Sorry.

7. Where did Onnawaffle come from?
~bradius did it! Apparently he read my name as onnawaffle at some point or something and I thought it was cute so when I was making my doll jewelry shop I decided to use it.

8. How can you afford all these dolls?
Honestly I hate this question, I really don't think it's anyone's business. But since I get asked it a lot I figured I'd add it. How I afford them varies, but I don't beg around for charity if that's what you're thinking.
* Key was paid for with a really good tax return.
* Donovan and Leo's head were bought by my fiance, and I then saved the old fashioned way (putting away money each paycheck) to pay him back. They were not gifts.
* Mir was a birthday gift from my fiance, my best friend and my parents.
* Yan, Kitten and Inari were the products of saving up the old fashioned way and selling a ton of stuff on ebay. I'm talking a ton of stuff.
* Tycho was a Christmas gift from my fiance.
* Due to how expensive Varekai's head was, he was also bought by my fiance and I paid him back over the course of a couple months. He was most certainly not a gift.
* Beezle was cheap enough that I was able to buy her with what I had left over from a paycheck.
* Kà's head was a gift from *Angie-Chan070707 and her body was bought by me on my credit card, which I then proceded to pay off because that's what you do.
* Jack's head was free from Luts when I bought Kà's body.
* The rest were simply bought via hard work and saving money.
